If it were a true GT car in super stock it would not be legal with a Chevrolet engine. GT does not allow crossing over engines from different manufacturers. IE. ford with a chevy engine. Our local dragstrip stopped allowing EVs to compete starting last year. The tracks insurance company wanted specific training and equipment for the safety /fire crew to handle potential issues in the event of a crash or fire with an EV. Supposedly an EV battery fire is very difficult to putout, and creates tremendous heat. Considering that we only ever had 2 Telsas ever show up for 1 time, hardly worth the effort and expense. Imagine that the insurance costs would have also been higher.
