Wow, how long was the indoor strip? They were NOT doing burnouts in 63, were they? Whatever happened to the facility, and how long did it run?Was the shutdown also indoors? Must have been LOUD! in there. Likely got a bit stinky as well.

I was only 2 when they raced indoor. But do remember the world of wheels auto show and womans roller derby. Quite the dump back then but fun to go to.

Why don't you start a thread about something that would help out slower classed cars. NHRA should come up with a way to control the wind and the weather! It's just not fair! Those dammed fast cars aren't as affected as much as we are! They should start enclosing and climate-controlling their tracks! It's just not fair!
LOL, maybe I shouldn't post when having a bad day?

Always thought running in-floor heating lines in the track would be expensive but a cool way to keep the track at a consistent temp, and of course a long "hanger like" roof with no walls too. Track at 100* while it's snowing outside the mile long roof. Could have stands with heaters over them like in hockey rinks.

Have a carwash type overhead blower to clean the snow off as you come to the burnout box. Cars all jammed up at the return road, stuck in the snow drift LOL!

Think about putting the four barrel on your car and you could leave just like all the other 69 350 combos - if you're still running that car.
If other racers are getting distracted by that then they have probably would get distracted by anything up there and need to learn to focus.....How hard is it to understand deepstaging? I am 8 pages in and it seems like people think its some deceiving scheme to guarentee a win. It is not, its all about were you like hitting the tree. Any good racer can "adapt" to their car but its much better to hit it where you are naturally comfortable.

This is edited. I misunderstood this at first when I read it.

What is the difference??? Last time I watched stock it was a bracket race except the occasional Class matchup.....Unless I missed something in the last month and a half when I have been off of here.

I apologize for bringing this back up and possibly opening a new can of worms here...I just was having a hard time holding my tongue on some of this stuff and obviously I am late to the party. I just have been spending my time away from the forum over the winter.
