First they'll conduct a bogus survey that say stock racers are clamoring for new and lower weight breaks as indicated above. Along with an new AAAA/S class.
Then they'll say we asked for lower class indices because we been working on our stuff.
Third, they will allow a marine cams that are a drag pak option that lowers the hp by 200 hp over advertised street cars.
Fourth they'll defend items 1,2 and 3 as good for the sport.
You'll hear: People are gonna line the fences like they did this year. Everyone coming back from Iraq will order one like back in the 60's when Viet Nam vets came home. Oh yeah!!
It's funny how the same guys who took out mortgages to buy a new race car are now telling others to get out of the 60's. But then they are the first to say race on "Sunday, sell on Monday."
Golly, just like the 60's. Except this ain't the 60's socially or economically.

Didn't your Gremlin have a 440 six pack drag pak option, Ed??

Have a great day.

You're right Jimmy. The guys who are calling us complainers/whiners are the ones
spending their retirements on a product that the idiots in charge are doing their best to
make extinct with their lack of focus and direction (except how to millk the cash cow for as long as they can for their retirements).
My gremlin had the secret crossram hemi 258 six cylinder option available, but I didn't have the extra $19.95 to spend at the time.

You guys have it wrong, they will start with the 6.0 lbs. per to be A stock and follow down to where if you don't have a 10 sec. car you'll be out of Stock. This way they get two problems out of the way in one swoop. The closure rate will be OK, and it will speed up the program not having to deal with the slow a&& stockers. Who are they going to piss off, the slow no money racers, does anyone think that NHRA gives a crap. I'm in that same club and expecting something like that from NHRA. They will tell you to take the slower cars and race the 14.0, 13.0 and 12.0 classes. They have already started that race structure here in D2.
I'm being sarcastic, but probably not far from the truth!

Where does a 6# class car go when it gets enough power to no longer be eligible for stock?

Super Stock

And for those that like to bicker, like it or not we're all in this together. No wonder NHRA pushes us ALL around. We're on the same team

United we stand, Divided we fall…

After the 5.5 and 5.0 class, you bypass Super Stock completely and go direct to Pro Stock.

So how do the 68 Cuda's & Darts play into this are they 6.0 lb cars? They made as many of them as the Mustangs and if I remember correctly they came with 10" tires from Hurst ?
