Don't think mineshaft can be done unless some miracle happens. Weather forecast a little worse today and tomorrow, 40 & 50%. S/ST out @ 8 if it's on schedule. Today is the anniversary of Katrina. Just a footnote.

It is nice here this morning but possible thunderstorms in the afternoon. Sorry about no posting yesterday afternoon, but we had some problems with the car and worked on it til about 10:30 last night. Thanks to Scott Spies, Michael and Emily Volkman, Jeff Teuton, Mike Cotton for helping to try to get us back running today. And especially thanks to our son, Chris for all of his help. And to all who stopped by to offer their moral support! We will see after this morning's run if the problem is fixed.
On the DQs, Jerry Bennett spun a bearing and did not stop at the scales. Kenneth Stott also broke his engine. I am not sure why he ended up as a DQ. We are running 1st round of most all classes today. Super street has been called up for their final qualifying with Stock on stand by. More later. |

115 stockers on the final sheet, we are running behind schedule so.....stock elims will probably begin after the scheduled 2 pm start.A pretty decent spectator crowd is here, including Jimmy De Frank . M.J.
