I miss going to National events, I would love to go to Norwalk next week, but I didn't sign up because I feel like to do so would sancton what NHRA is doing. How do you think David Rampy felt at Bristol this weekend when the Challenger had him covered by 7 or 8 tenths?

The 5.7 hemi in the Challenger is under rated by about 100 hp. How long do you all think it will take to get that little gem in line.
It'll happen soon enough.

Best Appearing and Best engineered cars.......Both Drag Paks

NHRA showing they don't mind at all how F'ed up the cars are HP wise.....They just want to feature these things and show how much they like them.....

What a joke.......F/SA 10.60 at Bristol !!!! Are you kidding me or what?

If the F.I. classes were not scrapped.....I would still have my LT-1 Stocker....NHRA keeps messing with the rules and racers and our ability to compete.

What do they think, It is cheap and easy to race and have a chance to win? I never expected to be the fastest or not get beat headsup, without working and spending time and money to get to be one of the better cars.....but they do stuff that negates everything some racers do in a heartbeat with the stroke of a pen....Sets a real poor example for fair play....

Not even at 3.25% on a regular basis.

Cool Re: HP on monday???

IHRA still has seperate FI (and Blower cars) classes. If enough guys/gals started racing the IHRA events instead of the NHRA events where its plane to see that they dont care about the little guys due to this HP joke. Theres a real chance that the sponsors would follow for next season. Its all about numbers and entrys. I know.....I might as well be talking to a brick wall.

Terry, I would love to race IHRA, the only race they have that is close is Clay City on July 4th weekend. It's not a terrible track but it sure isn't great and the next closest is Milan Michigan which is about 6 hours away. I have no problem with IHRA. If I lived in the Carolinas I would race a lot of IHRA, but I don't. The problem Is the quality of the facilities and the location for a lot of us.

James, I don't know who you are, but you sound like a very angry person. Perhaps you should go to anger management. Or take your medication? Regardless, there was no need to insult me. I don't know you, and from all the garbage you write on here I hope I never do. Have a great day and remember to relax before you pop a blood vessel.

(Please know that I really do say that in the kindest, most sincere way. You sound like a loose cannon and I'm just being a concerned citizen.)

Greg......Its like being between the rock and a hard spot. IHRA cant get the cream of the tracks unless they get participation. Same deal with contengencies. It takes time and commitment from both sides. Which came first....the horse or the cart. NHRA didnt have what they have over night though to most younger guys on here it might seem that way. They were not around in the lean years to see how things were. IHRA was on a roll in the early years but due to bad decisions, bad management and probably most of all....the Billy Meyer fiasco.....IHRA took a hit and never fully recovered then had a bunch of jerk offs pretending to run the association in later years. Bill Bader was the best thing to ever happen to IHRA and his friends and partners screwed over him so he bailed out. Cant say that I blame him. There is so much the general racing community will never hear about that went on behind closed doors. Things I wont say on an open forum. Now its the economy so GOOD sponsors and GOOD tracks are few and far between. Without support they will never recover. I havent been with them in about 10 years so its no skin off my butt. Its just that NHRA keeps treating the little guy like dirt such as yourself without any recourse and the die hards just keep on supporting them anyway. I just dont see the attraction of getting screwed every time the NHRA racers turn around. Its almost like they enjoy the beatings and drain on their wallets. Its almost like a "Good ole Boys Club". I think travel distance is a cop out. I read and hear about so and so making trip after trip to the west coast from the east coast and the other way around. Most racers from Div. one wont travel any farther than exit #4 and exit# 8 on the NJ turnpike but that may be because of the quantity of stock and S/S racers located in that area and they can get over 100 cars easy . Its like a captured audience. Its a free USA (so far) so make a decision to fight what is happening to the litle guy now or continue to taking it up your shorts. Makes no difference to me.
