A big hats off to Mr. Jones and the crew at Beach Bend Raceway for having the place in great shape for almost 600 cars. Test and tune Thursday the track was sprayed full length and dragged. The crew would stop and touchup spots before they became a problem. I would guess 200 cars tested at a cost of $50, a good value.

$10,000 in one day isn't bad.

My first round matchup with the Nolan/Kadar team was a round we both looked forward to. The T-Bolt car was broke when the pairings came out. The parts to fix arrived just after the ladder came out, Tibor, Tom and Blair went to work, changing flexplate, starter, and I think having to modify some parts to make everything go together. Oil downs, rain delays, and hard work got the car to staging ready to run a heads up round. We were prepared to wait on them until the last minute. I came to race and so did the Ford team. Result: the Ford beat me by a country mile. But there is always this week.
