What type of increase has anyone found upgrading to these in a T350? Were they worth the investment?

Based on what I have seen, I would say save your money and purchase a T-200.
Is this Norm?? Tim Lisson |

Yes sir. I hope you are doing well back home. We miss you out here on the west coast. I agree from a performance standpoint but I am not sure from a reliability standpoint.

I would get ahold of Leo Glasbrenner and talk to him about a metric 200
You will be surprised with what he has to say, reliability and price. |

Leo Glasbrenner
Remac Trans San Dimas CA (909) 592-1006 From what he tells me he has had very very good luck keeping this unit together (metric 200), Just call him and see if he can do anything for you. Tyler |

Norm-
Drop me a line and we'll catch up. The bride and I are discussing a family vacation out west next year to go see everyone. I know several racers running McClays with zero problems, in considerably stronger leaving cars than your combination, not saying your car is weak or anything........[:-bigeyes-:] Tim TLisson@msn.com |

Hi Norm,
Come take a look at my McClay. Scott can build you one with some real neat features like auto 1-2 with externally adjustable shift point. Just be prepared to wait a very long time for it. I had a hard time deciding between Scott and Leo they and their transmissions have stellar reputations. So far I have had no problems in a 3800# car. Bill Edgeworth 6471 J/SA Firebird

Thanks for the responses. In case you do not read both my posts, which would be a better investment, spool or metric 200? Based on cost versus performance gain.

To me it is kind of relative; huge difference in cost and a huge difference in performance gain. But I would consider the spool a necessity. Take into mind what Jeff Lee said in your other thread. It is very difficult to know if and when you have a slippage problem that is costing you ET when you?re running a posi.
You never know you may see performance gains beyond what the difference in rotating weight gives you. I would do the spool long before I would put two to three grand into a transmission. Bill Edgeworth 6471 J/SA Firebird
