Default TNT Super Series heading to Dunn Tire Raceway Park this Friday June 13

ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO (June 6, 2008) The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series competitors are ready for Dunn Tire Raceway Park (DTRP) this Friday June 13th. This is the 2nd out of 8 events in the 2008 tour and it coincides with Dunn Tire VIP Night at the track. “A huge turnout is expected in the grandstands for this event,” said Sharon Hughes, Drag Coordinator for DTRP. “We’ve given each racer in the DTRP points program 50 passes that are good for that night. Racers can bring friends, family and sponsors for a terrific night of racing!”

The Balancing Act, a southern Ontario hi performance engine shop, is presenting the June 13th TNT event. “We saw the success the TNT Series had in 2007 and are very excited to be associated with it this year,” said Gerry Bartel from The Balancing Act. “My partner Terry Thomas & I like the fact that the TNT series focuses on grass roots sportsman racers.”

In business since 1986, the St Catharines, Ontario area machine shop has a 1750 hp chassis dyno onsite. But it’s not just your average chassis dyno. Gerry and the team have it set up to simulate ¼ mile runs – complete with all the incremental times same as you would get at the track. That means you can tune your car based on E.T. without ever going to the track. “As a drag racer, I think this is an exceptional tool. It takes away all of the variables at the track like wind or traction issues. And you can tune your car in any weather!” commented Ted Barnes, TNT Series Director. “Index racers can dial in their car - including the throttle stop settings - in a few hours in the comfort of their shop!” Check them out at www.balancingactdyno.ca .

The June 13th event is where the 2008 TNT schedule really gets going. Then the series is off to Toronto Motorsports Park on June 22nd and then on to St. Thomas Dragway on July 5th to be part of the Show Me The Money Tour event there. But right now, the focus is on June 13th at DTRP. “We’re expecting a record number of cars,” added Ted. “Should be at least 30 competitors. Get there early - Qualifying begins at 4:00pm!”

Every TNT event including June 13th guarantees a minimum of $500 to win, rewards #1 qualifier with a $50 Hoosier Canada certificate, pays $25 round money for EVERY round win, posts contingency money for both winner & runner-up and counts for points towards lucrative TNT yearend awards.
