Default Checking fuel?

Hi Im new here but have watched this forum a while and enjoy it much. I was wanting to ask how could I check my fuel after purchasing to see if it is real pure racing fuel? There is BAD rumors of people cutting racing gas-Not talking about the fuel dist. itself. Sorry If I posted in the wrong section-Not sure.

I've never heard of that. NHRA & IHRA always checks mine. I would not know how to check it myself.

I've seen some local tracks cut fuel before.
When I class raced I always bought my fuel at the event.

Thanks for the replies. Is 3 months too long to store in a plastic container in a shed?

Budetracer,
Fuel won't go bad in 3 months although it may not check either.
When you go to an event buy it straight off the truck. If it don't check then tell them they better go check the truck. I never had a problem doing it this way. I saw a lot of people bounced over the years though.

I have heard of fuel being cut at places that sell most of it to circle track (dirt) guys.
I am like the rest of these buys. Buy it in a drum, or buy it at the track. they can't hardly throw you out if you buy the fuel at the event.
