Default Paging Charlie Ford!

How you doing down there, big guy? You may well be without electricity but the rest of the world is waiting for news from you and the rest of the racers around Houston. Hope it's going "as well as could be expected under the circumstances."

Hope you and your family are all doing well under these trying conditions. An electrician without electricity--is that like an artist without a paintbrush? Hope to see you in Memphis or Shreveport.
Good luck to all down there in harm's way.

Patsy & Larry

I know I'm no CHARLIE FORD, but my report will just have to do! LOL Haven't heard from the Ford's yet, but we are about 30 miles from them and we had some pretty strong winds that blew trees down. Of course no power, they are saying two weeks. We have generators and our motor home so if anyone needs anything they are welcome out here. It will be interesting to see what happens for Dallas next week, they are getting some pretty heavy rain with this too. Good luck and hope everyone got as lucky as we did, thanks for all the concerns.

Thanks for the news, David. We're always concerned when forces outside our control begin to exert extreme pressures on the system. If you see Charlie down at the Food Bank or anywhere for that matter, tell him people are asking. Hang in there.

Got a call in to Austins cell, waiting to hear back.
Just got off the phone with Gary Emmons, all the family members made it through ok. Damage @ Terry & Jerry's places.....tree's and fences down, minor damage to the houses, but considering the strength of the storm Gary said the damage was lighter than they expected and could certainly be dealt with.
Glad to hear the Buckners are OK, will pass on anything else that I hear.

Unk

Decision on Dallas will certainly be interesting......

I tried calling Charlie, but no response. Hope he is ok. And once again we have problems here where Gustave landed. Terrebonne Parish (Houma, LA) has 26,000 homes flooded from Ike and estimates are 1/2 to 2/3 or Terrebonne Parish is flooded. We are 300 miles from Houston. We had about 75% electricity restored before Ike, now who knows. We lost power this morning again. Grand Isle, LA had 4 ft of water over the road yesterday afternoon. Strong south winds, so it is still rising. Part of Houma is flooded. All the bayou communities of this area are under water.

Hang in there Jeff!

Was so glad to hear you made it through Gustav, sorry to hear that Ike got you with a sucker punch too. Missed you @ Indy but understood that you were home manning the fort.
Heard from the "Country Pup" that they had just got electricity back a couple of days ago, figure they probably got this second punch too.
Certainly don't envy what you all have been through this year, Thoughts and prayers have been going out to all my friends being affected by these storms.

We were spared from Ike. We received barely any rain, mostly winds up to about 40 mph. If anybody heres anything about Dallas please post it. I know the rain could be an issue.

Glad to hear you're still up and running Pup! Guess you were far enough east to miss out on this one. I just wish when you all were done with theses storms you'd send them somewhere else besides my neck of the woods....
We had Gustav last week, whatever the one was from Mexico & the Pacific a couple of days ago, and now Ike is coming to town for the rest of the weekend....... damn it's wet up here..

NHRA's website says Dallas National is still on! This was posted today FYI. Should be some pretty nice air for September.
