Although the accident was tragic especially because a little little guy was fatally injured, I think it will have no effect on Feld Motorsports. He probably has a disclaimer for injury and death printed on each ticket. When anyone attends events like this, there is inherent risk of something like this occurring and when you buy a ticket you are accepting that risk. Feld probably will get sued but that is why you have insurance.

It is so ironic that the promoter quoted in the article was himself killed a few days later after stepping in front of a monster truck. In the article he said no one had been injured at one of his shows and then he got killed himself. How tragic.

Note: This was NOT a Feld show!!

Just a quick history lession, George Sr was the owner of Dragway 42 and Thompson Dragway at one time, bad deal indeed. Condolences to the whole Eisenhart family.

UPDATE: Show's promoter and announcer dies after monster truck accident
Wisconsin State Journal

The promoter and announcer of the Monster Truck Nationals show, George Eisenhart, Jr., 41, of Chardon, Ohio, was identified Sunday as the man killed during a performance of the huge trucks Saturday night at the Dane County Coliseum.

A news conference is scheduled later this afternoon.

A spectator at the show, Jeff Murray, Madison, said Eisenhart stepped out onto the Coliseum floor just as one of the pickup trucks with oversized tires was about to go by.

"He just walked out in front of it," Murray said. "There's no way either one could have seen the other."

Ditto what Nitro said - George was a friend of Scotts from back in Ohio, he ran Thompson at one point. Our condolences to George's family

I remember way back in the day when we used to sit on the banks at a drag boat race. That was until Dan Pastorini's top fuel jet boat's motor died and he ended up in the motorhome spectator area. Then they changed it to a 10-15' rule. That must have been 30 years ago. I was 14 ( I think) at the time and at the race, now I am 44.
