I lost class final [ss/ha] to Bill Felker
we become friends & he built our 69 camaro ss/ha car in 75
this is the 68 camaro we restored andnow have on the street , and yes it's 396-325 hp
with the hooker headers we ran in 74 on the car.

Thanks for posting that, Tom. It's really interesting, and a lot easier to read than the othes you posted, not that they were bad, but this one's crystal-clear! Are you planning on doing Stock, too?

Ditto on the thanks for posting this. I recognise quite a few of those names from the old days. One in particular was Bob Williams SS/DA Chevelle "Double Trouble". A really nice car. Oddly enough, he used to race quite frequently at a backwoods outlaw track. Brown County Dragway, a track I only live about 6-7 miles from today. My first trip to that place was in 1973. They held what I say was a forerunner to the combos of today. It is still in operation, since about 1978, they went to bracket racing only.

It was the "money" class, consisted of all the stock, superstock, modifieds, gassers, altereds, ect. In those days, all ran off their national records, that was your index.

Keep it up Tom, I enjoy taking these little trips back to the past.

Some of the programs are in color and don't scan very well.
Here's the 68 camaro as it's now. Our younger son Tony did all the work.

Bob,
It was Willaims that beat Donna in the "king of the hill" final at Brown County that time I let her drive the Camaro there. it was CLOSE....That kill girl could just kill you on the tree.

Donna could drive. We need to pay them a visit and check out her old Camaro. Imagine she and Keith have that one restored by now. Wonder if they finally sold that roundy round truck?
