Lucky or Good
I'd rather be lucky I think....
Whats your lucky story... Heres one of mine.. Last year, I ran the SST series at Lebanon Valley (NESSA)...I really hadnt run the car much at 10.90 so I dont have much data and rarely race from behind in SG (remember the SG Speeds thread?) so I was guessing alot.. First round is laddered, my opponent (also my brother) give me a bye run, he broke (understatement) in TT's... Second round my opponent goes red.. Third round I race GaryGo Fast....he goes red (he didnt want the BYE in the next round I guess).. Fourth round...see above.. Fifth Round..well my luck runs out...my opponent goes like .010 and 90 with a 2 or 3 I think...whomping me at 1200 feet...I go .020 and .91 something, I cant get there so I'm giving him the stripe... AND as my team mate always says, I'd rather be lucky at life than racing (but lucky at racing is good sometimes anyhow)

Re: Lucky or Good
Luck is always a good thing to have but I would rather be good, to bad for me I am neither, but it is work in progress.
You never hear how lucky Pete, or Anthony, or Shoe is (just to name a few) everyone talks about how good they are, the lucky ones are the people that beat them. |

Re: Lucky or Good
Yeah, look at you Mr. I have 2 races and already have more points then I (meaning me) did last year. Your running good even under pressure (parts failure). Your already making it tuff to beat, but I will get you.

Re: Lucky or Good
I have been selling luck for a while now. $20 per round-refundable if you lose.
