Mike got down to 4 cars at Farmington in Stock with Zac's old 67 Coronet wagon. This was Mikes first race with the car and he did an admirable job making it to the final 4. A .009 redlight did him in. Great to see the old car back in action.

It was a thrash for us to get there but once we did we had fun. The other thing is Mike hasnt raced since October of 2006 in a race car. He made probably 30 runs last year in a 2006 Durango. He is still a little rookieish when it comes to stock elim racing but he will be fine. Hope to be at Mooresville this weekend but it doesnt look good.

A lot of rust fell off that car on saturday/sunday, from the driver!! To say there was a thrash on that car friday was an understatement. The main thing was I had fun. That is all I care about these days. People are taking racing too serious. I want it to be fun. That wagon is a blast to drive. I'm looking forward to knocking some more rust off and learning the wagon.
I couldn't lose to hillary, I've known her for 20 years! My 13 and 9 year old nephew would never let me live down losing to a girl haha. Although, I think the next set of heads from Tim will be expensive haha. I just got lucky this weekend. |

Actually Lee Smith drove one of these in 66 with a Hemi and a 4 speed in Super Stock. Then he went to C/MP in the late 60's. We are thinking for of a J/SA combo with a 383.

Mike or Herb,
How about posting a picture of the Wagon? Love old MOPAR WAGONS. Another MOPAR wagon that is pretty cool is in Div.4, a 70 PLYMOUTH 383 owned by John Pelon. He's only been out once or twice with this new car but it looks great, K/SA. He calls it "The Two Ton Mater"! |
