Default Schubeck pushrod cup isssues?

Hello, noob here. I need some independant advise here if possible.

First, I bought a set of NIB Schubeck #10016 solid flat tappet full ceramic lifters. They are a set of 16 lifters intending on using them in an late model 4.0 block AMC six. So I would have has a few spares. Upon receiving them I noticed that the oil band location is different. These are pushrod oilers and from what I gather the oil hole does not have to be in the oil galley to properly oil the upper end of the motor. I understand this since oil would bypass through the clearances of the lifter bore and the lifter itself.

The problem lies in the how much of the .904 dia is left in the bottom of the lifter bore when the valve is closed. There is only .165 in the bore. Once the lifter starts to open of course the lifter is supported more as the opening ramp lifts the lifter. Should I be concered about this? If this is a problem I have no problem with reselling them.

My second question is concerning another set that I have found. These do not have the issue descibed above but they have a lifter cup that is held in by a snap ring. I have heard that this is an area where some issues have happened. Is this true?

I'm just looking foe some real world experiences with these lifters since I've never owned a set. Thanks for your help , John
