Amen to that!
I just started the revival of my a/sa car, now this. But, I received my IHRA competition no. and membership and if I can't race there then I can bracket race or go to the NMCA but by God I'm gonna race somewhere! Tree |

If I may butt in ! I've resigned myself to the fact that my racing is going to consist of some Bracket, maybe some Nostalgia, I don't think there is going to be any NHRA, due to the economy! I'm retired, and my wife still works! We thought we had our butt's covered financialy, well thats what i get for thinking! We lost our butts in our investments, and my wifes Co, is leaving town to move to Ohio, from what i'm told. I've got a very valuable SS car for sale , but nobody has any money, unless I want to give it away! I also have a Stk'r which is what I'll play with ! I'll miss my freinds at NHRA, but not spendinig a whole sh#t house full of money! It's going to bother me , but I'm an old fart and revive freindships pretty easily, Thanks for letting me vent..........Later John Lang

well, just so ya know...IHRA is out, ain't a track around here...
my options are NHRA or nothing.... bandimere is about 50 miles from me, douglas is 250ish and there's pueblo but ya have to drive thru denver and colo springs... and i'd rather eat s.... than do that... everything else is over the hills or 400 miles away (kearney, nebr) although i have reletives near there... so, i'm stuck with Bandimere (NHRA)but it's the nicest track i've ever been on...but i ain't complaining! 100 bucks entry will hurt but what don't anymore.... i must be getting used to paying amc prices or something ![]() |

I got curious and checked out the cars at autoimagery. Those look like a pair of really nice, cool cars that you don't see much of anymore. Good luck with your situation.

Have to agree with this as well. I've been away for 20 years and am looking forward to returning. For the record, the majority of tracks within a two or so hour drive of me, ORP, Muncie, ET Dragway, Bunker Hill, Ohio Valley, Edgewater, all NHRA tracks. In addition to a couple unsanctioned tracks, Brown County (about 7 miles from my house) and Freedom, Indiana. Closest IHRA tracks I know of, Osceola and a track around Lexington, Ky. My class car will be an IHRA car. I guess if worse comes to worse, I'll have a second bracket car. At my age, really nothing to prove, just want to come back out and play. Robert Swartz
