IHRA officials did a great job of a crappy situation. At Thompson this past weekend the place was saturated from rain all week and rained Friday night. They worked hard to accomodate all racers even parking rigs in the staging lanes. Saturday race was run until dew was on the track and finished on Sunday. Sunday's race was finished by about 8:00. I never heard anyone complain about anything.
The racers also deserve a pat on the back for their understanding. Good job IHRA . Jeff Ross |

I agree, if you can believe it the track pulled the pluig on the race Sat. nite,BEFORE someone wadded up their stuff. Now that's probably one of the smartest calls I've heard in a while, most tracks wait till they junk out 1 or 2 cars before they state the obvious. Also congrats to Aaron Allison and Mike Lyons on their SS wins. Joe

This is nothing new, they were excellent in handling the Epping race last year under similar conditions.
