The first two of the six race National Trail Raceway Jegs Super Series events will take to the track on June 20 & 21. This will give many of the racers from the midwest area the chance to prepare for the NHRA National event the following weekend at Norwalk.
All three of the Super classes (Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street) will run on both days with two different eliminations. Each race is $65 to enter in each class. $800 will go to the winner in each class, runner up will receive $250 and the semifinalists receive $100. The racers will be placed on a ladder right from the opening round based on closest to the index without breaking out. Their will be two time trial/qualifying passes on Saturday, and one on Sunday before the opening round of eliminations. Entry into the points program, which will use the best five performance of the six events, is $30 for each class. Payout for the points program is $1,000 for the winners in Super Comp and Super Gas ($750 in Super Street) and $500 for the runner ups ($400 in Super Street). For more information about the series, contact the NTR office at 740-928-5706. |

OK everyone remember National Trails this coming Sat & Sunday , come help support the Super Series so we can keep it going as it's the only Super races going besides the divisional and national event races.
Hey Chris, post the times the gate opens around what time we will make the 2 qualifying runs on sat and the one Qualifying run on Sunday. I'll be there to help ladder everyone up in the back of the lanes every round and help make this deal run nice and smooth. |

Gates are scheduled to open at around 8:00 on both days. We will start time trials with the Junior Dragsters at 9:00 AM on Saturday and following the RFC Service on Sunday. The run order for each day is as follows:
Pro Super Pro Sportsman High School Super Gas Super Pro Motorcycle Super Street Super Comp Street Motorcycle I would assume that the first qualifying session in Super Gas would be around the 10-10:30 timeframe and the second maybe around 12:30-1:00 (obvious could change based on car count, so don't hold me to that timeframe). The same schedule is set for the Sunday event minus the second time trial session for all classes. If anyone has any other questions, please let me know. Hey Joe,
I want to send out a job well done to you, Chris, and the rest of the NTR staff. I think ladder format for the first round is a great idea and worked out well. The weekend went a lot smoother than years past, not to mention the time spent in the staging lanes was down to a minimum. The track is in great shape. Great job, looking forward to the next four events. See ya on the 18th. Kevin |

Those Super Series competitors (or for that case any racer) that is running the event on July 18th can leave their rigs on the grounds for the following weekend's LODRS event at the track. The only thing that would have to be done by those wanting to leave their rigs here is that they would have to be moved to the back in the grass either by H Gate off Refugee Rd. or the tree line in back. We have the SCCA in the pits on that Sunday and they will be using the paved area for their Autocross event.
Glad everyone that came for the Super Series had a good time and we are looking forward to the rest of the season. |
