On the super stock style M/T radials how many runs do you put on them before putting on a new set with a mid to low 9 second car? What about the Hoosiers?I realize your car has to be optimum as far as the way it works to run these tires...What about marginal hot racetracks?
Thanks |

mopar man
i've ran nothing but the m/t radials since they were available for our 3200 lb ss car. car goes low to mid 10's. I am probably TOO hard on my burnouts and I get 50-60 runs before showing some cords. I've heard of others saying 75 - 100 (with easy burnouts is normal). As I posted.... I probably am too hard on them in the burnout... just an old habit. ps..... in 5 years.... i can count on one hand how many times i have spun! (knock on wood.....) now if could only get on that TEAM M/T! tom sheehan

Mopar,
Byron and I typically get between 95-100 runs out of a pair of M/T Radials! Not real aggressive in the burnout box either!! We run the 14.5x33 and 14x32's. Dad typically gets around 80 runs on 12.2 radials. The last pair of 14.5x33's I got rid of had 96 runs on them and still had wear holes showing!! |
