I wonder what would be a fair amount to ask? Decals for truck and trailer, t-shirts and crew shirts would be bought by them. Souvenir program entry listing, displays, car show attendance all in addition to race track exposure included in the request amount. This is for an associate type sponsorship, not a full ride deal like Emmons, Flecther etc. Door size decals, same on trailer sides and rear door. What do you think?

These would be about 17"x12" decals, about the size of the Jegs All Stars decals for the trailer. Not looking at doing the "wrap" stuff.............

I would figure how many races you plan on going to,the cost of those expenses plus uniforms, signage etc ----the car displays/shows and any other expenses like race gas/oil/slicks/other parts, maybe a trans or engine rebuild etc.BE REALISTIC with yourself and add 20% to that number see what it looks like.. Then think if your sponsor will gag on the number and if not run it by him. Let him bargain you down a bit if you will but make sure you get enough at the beginning so you do not hafta go back for more---maybe get a partial payment up front then get some as you go along over the season, might be easier for him to budget. You know what it costs to go racing you hafta convince your sponsor if it is worth it to him to spend the money for the sales results/return he is going to get for his investment...Think of it this way if He gives you $5000 will he get $50,000 in increased business from this deal---then answer yourself realistically----Good luck hope you get it!!!----Comp 387
