Default Couple questions for the vets...

Hi all, I have been off this site for a while. Originally I was going to build a 455 71 grand prix but it has been my dad's car for 24 years and is just a beautiful car. I have a 70 Le Mans that I bought when I was 15 and is my first car. Would I be able to claim it as a GTO to put a 455 360hp base motor in it, or would I have to buy the GTO fenders and nose? My dad and I have been die hard pontiac guys since we started this hair pulling euphoria we call racing. I would love to find a 71-74 Trans am or 68-69 Firebird because my racecar now is a 76 bird and I just love em but I already have a straight, full interior, le mans that would need a motor and possibly a rear end, converter, etc. I have a built 12 bolt under it now, I don't know if that would be legal either. It has a strange spool and MW axles and fit for aerospace disc brakes. I haven't dug into the rule book deeply yet because 1. College consumes 95% of my time and I don't have a rule book. 2. I don't have the funds to even think about building a car yet. I was thinking just save up some money and buy parts here and there and possibly when I'm outta here, I would have everything to get my plans in gear. Hope that didn't waste your time. I just needed a couple questions answered.
