Default Eddyville accomodations?

We are likely racing at Eddyville the weekend of July 4th. I would like to stay in the trailer over nite. The track mgr emailed me back and said they have showers. My wife is ok with staying in the trailer. Does anyone know if the showers are decent?

Thanks
Clark

Clark,

Last time I was there, a few years back, they were fine.
In fact, a nice shower prior to towing home is downright refreshing.

Clark, Eddyville is one of the nicest little 1/8 mile tracks in the country. Ask Fatty he'll tell ya.

For a minute there, I thought you were asking about the prison in Eddyville, KY.

Carl Moyer (Karl Chevrolet, Ankeny IA) bought Eddyvile in a sort-of run-down condition about 15 years ago and totally refurbished EVERYTHING, from the strip itsself,to the grandstands, the timing system; Musco lighting was installed, and every building on the property was torn down and replaced. A TON of new landscaping was done at that time, with the addition of a small pond, bridge, and lots of white rock in the pits.

I haven't been there since Carl sold it a few years back, but it was pristine, the last time I was there. It may still be....

Eddyville, Iowa. Southeast of DesMoines a ways. I was there once and everything Bill Dedman said is true, from what I can remember. It even had a nice playground for the kids.

It's been there for years. My 62 yr old dad raced there in the late 60s/early 70s. I think he once said that the pond used to be at the end of the track and made panic stops interesting.
