Default carburetors in ss/ax/bx/cx

I was reading the rule book the other day and wording came up on carburetors but it was written carburetor (s) does this mean more than one can be installed or does it mean any style of carburertor(predator, dominator, quadrjet) type carburetor.

Carbs are pretty wide open. 3 x 2's, 2 x4's, 1 x 4.. Any size, any brand..The only carb I know you can't run is the inline autolite. You can even run 2 dominators. Some do, some run with 2 of the 8 bores plugged off. I think the EFI is pretty wide open. I can't say for sure because I haven't studied EFI rules. Joe Buchanan & Tim Cole would know more about that. Tim has or is in the process of switching from Dominators to EFI. Joe already has it.
