Bill- I run O2's with a pan evac. Just make sure the pan evac is down stream from the O2. You will be fine.

I want to add a wideband 02 sensor on a S/S car that has pan-evac in the collector. The pan-evac pipes are at the highest velocity point in the merge collector throat. It looks like the junk pulled from the engine into the exhaust stream will screw up the readings from the 02 sensor which most likely will have to be downstream from the pan-evac pipe.
Does anyone out there use O2 with pan-evac? Do you just disconnect and plug that side of the pan-evac on runs where you want to monitor the A/F mixture? Alternately, can you put the O2 bung in the merge throat along the same circumference as the pan-evac and get a good reading?
