i have purchased a 1990 allegro 28ft with a chevy chassis looking to tow my 28 ft enclosed. I was looking at the rear over the weekend and the receiver says 200lb trailer tongue weight and a 2500lb trailer weight limit. The frame extends about 5 or 6 ft past the rearend assy, it seems a liitle weak but was hoping i can beef it up a little and it be ok. Any suggestions please thanks jason

Create a load leveler type frame after bracing the main rails. Then use Torsion bars on a load leveler trailer hitch. This works well . Good Luck

Jason i towed with a 27ft gm chassis for years with no problem, but the added frame rails from the rv manufacturer were only 2 or 3 feet long..it will depend on the wheelbase of your rv..the hitch is definitely not strong enough though!!! I now tow with a 35 ft gm class a.i had to box and reinforce the frame and hitch but 4 years later no problems
