While looking over NHRA's 2008 Tax return I came across this little jewel in the section for independent contractors compensation. They paid one Jason Peters of Eloy,AZ., $106,125. Can anyone guess what this payment was for? Well I'll tell you. Parachute jumper. I wonder whose cousin or brother-in law he is?

$4600 / National event. Even at one jump per event factor his travel time, airfare, lodging, meals, and rental of a plane he can jump out of. Plus I'd guess he has to carry his own insurance which probably isn't cheap in that line of work.

Your right, and what the expenses don't eat, since he is an Independent Contractor, he has to pay 15.3% SS, 20-26% Fed Tax and likely 6% State tax on what he pulls out for pay. That takes care of over 40% of what is left. Not too much all considered. Harry My Haz. duty pay was 90/mo. in 73-74

Oh, I thought your point was something else since you seemed to be claiming Nepotism. He is just part of the show. NHRAs effort to keep a stuntman off the doles of unemployment.

Didn't a jumper die after hitting the jersey wall at Pomona a few years back?
