Default Contingency Decals on Dark colored cars?

It is getting time for me to decide on a paint scheme. I was thinking of Midnight Blue on the bottom half of the car. Is it more difficult to get contingency decals to stick out on darker colored cars?
Thank you,
Larry

No. 99% of the decals are what I'd call "self-contained" with contrasting colors foreground/background. There are a couple that use single-color cut vinyl, but thos are typically available in both light and dark colors.

Before you start lickin' n' stickin', gather up all of your decals, arrange them according to color and product type on the ground beside the car. With a little forethought, you can use them to complement your paint scheme rather than overwhelm.

That's excellent advice. I also like to see the the shapes of decals match the area they are applied to...the long rectangles on the rocker panel and the odd shaped ones like VP and Castrol on the rear quarter. Like Michael said, a little planning and they can enhance the car rather than ruin it.

If they will give you three decals each goto the craft store and get sheets of magnetic material and put one of each of the decals on the magnet sheets and cut it out. Then you can put them on the car and move them around untill you get the look that you like and step back and look at it make changes ect. When you get the look you want pull the magnetic one off and put the sticky one on in its place then do it over on the other side. If your like me and have plasic fenders and fiberglass doors (IE 4th gen F bodies) They make a product that is static cling sheets that will do the same thing. Its the same stuff that jegs and summit make thier temporary dial in numbers out of.

I originally did this for the bracket finals that way I could put them on the car and take them back off and did not have to look at the decals all year. The magnet ones are good to at least 135 the static cling will hold in there too but I did loose one once during a run.
