That's got to be an expensive facility to operate. I hope they can generate enough to turn a profit. It would be sad to see it go under again.

Ed, they stole that facility. I think Dover had over 10 million invested, the new guys have 2 million in it.

Press release said they're going to put over a million into it to make it better so let's hope they follow thru and we will have another good track back in operation. Course they've been saying for 10 years that Seattle was going to get big improvements and it's hardly kept up with the times.

It depends on the racers willing and wanting to race IHRA. Give it a shot guys......a lot of you travel a zillion miles to run NHRA.....Give them (IHRA) a chance !

I don't understand the I won't run IHRA deal. The people are friendly and they want you to be there. When I broke in Dallas last year Frank came and found me to give me a refund. He said hope to see you at the next one hope this money helps getting it back together. When I broke in Houston a few years ago they said have a nice trip home. LOL Ed

From a local bracket racer/fan perspective, the most disappointing things about IHRA are no Comp Eliminator, no Pro Stock, and low car counts in Stock/Super Stock.
Other than that, I see not downsides of IHRA racing. The only reason I never attended any of there event previously is the lack of Comp Eliminator racing. Thats a huge reason why I love racing, selected engineering as a major, and want to get into racing.

I'm in. Memphis is a great facility and I think it will thrive as an IHRA track. I used to run a lot of IHRA until they virtually moved out of this region. Hopefully this will will bring other IHRA events back to the TN, KY, AR, LA, GA region. How about a points race at US43? Great track and it used to draw a big car count. Maybe a points race at US43 followed by a national event in Memphis? Cool; 3 races in back-to-back weekends! HHMMM.

I keep hearing good things about IHRA and their member tracks...I might have to go down to Middle Tennessee dragway some Saturday night I'm not racing at Beech Bend and check it out.
