Norwalk Schedule Update!

Updated Schedule Just out......From Jay..

Unfortunately once again we are looking at a less than desirable weather forecast for the weekend, however we are hopeful that we'll have more periods of dry than wet. As much effort as any national event, if not more, has been put into promoting the event this weekend by the Summit Motorsports Park staff. The track has expanded staffing to open gates early and has extended the gate hours around the clock Thursday evening to help alleviate entry build up and parking. Additionally, we are attempting to make arrangements for additional jet track dryers and equipment to help in expediting any track drying.

Please share the news with other racers. We hope to have another great weekend at the B'Laster Cavalcade of Stars and hope to see you there.

Showtime set for this weekend at Summit Motorsports Park

Showtime is approaching for one of drag racing’s greatest shows on earth this weekend at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio with the 5th annual running of the B’Laster Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser. The event features stars from the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, some of the top exhibition vehicles in the country including Bob Motz’s wild jet powered-Kenworth, 150 mph Pro Stock Snowmobiles and a new food court with delicacies way beyond “track food”.

In an effort to better accommodate racers arriving early for the event the following racer gate/entry changes have been made:

Thursday, May 12:
All racers to enter Budweiser Gate located in the shutdown area on the east side of the track off Hwy 601. The Budweiser Gate will open at 9 a.m. The Budweiser Gate will remain open around the clock Thursday evening including credential sales and parking.

Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14:
All Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street and Pro Stock Snowmobile enter Summit Gate located on the west side of the track off Hwy 18. Gate will open at 7 a.m.

All Stock, Super Stock, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Comp, Top Alcohol Funny Car & Dragsters and Exhibition vehicles enter Budweiser Gate (east side).

Thats all good if you are in one of the classes worthy of parking on the paved side. But us un worthy s/st guys get the grass. I am tired of being towed out of my pit areas. Twice under water at trails, twice mud Indy, twice at Norwalk. I'll pass.
