Live from Bowling Green Sportsnationals Open

We are finally at the racetrack after 9 months of no racing. As Larry said this afternoon on the drive here, "We could of had a baby since we have been racing". What an awful thought for 2 people 61 years old! There are quite a few here taking advantage of test n tune today. We have a good parking space down by the river next to the McFarlands. We just made an easy pass down the track and it seems to be real rich, so Larry is working on it now. I will update more later after I make the rounds to see who all is here!

Well we made it down the track. Ran 10.57 in B/SA. People seen: Caleb and Brett McFarland, Jimmy Bridges, Thomas Arnett, Amy Faulk, George Cox, Gerald Nivans, Wade Owens, Danny Byrd, Mark Poole, Paul Adams. Met a new guy from Washington, IN in A/SA Challenger. Seemed like a nice guy. More later.

Well we went 10.57 @ 124 this morning. Air was 2119'. Got towed back. Broke something, but I think he is getting it fixed. We had 76 cars in stock. Took a few pics. Will post later. Dave Walther is # 1 qualifier, I think @ 1.14 under.

Got it fixed. Just ran 10.62, but the air was worse. I was wrong about #1. It was Bo Butner at 1.09 under. Walther's run something was wrong with the clocks. There are 44 superstockers. It should be fun tonight running in the Nitro Plate Combo race for $5000. It seems to be a real good turnout here today, including bracket cars and Jegs Super Quick, and Jr. Dragsters. More later.
