Great article in the New York Newsday

I know this is not part of stock/ super stock conversation. But there was a great article in the New York Newsday, about Vincent Nobile Prostock racer. The reason I’m bringing it up is because it has a positive spin on our sport. Unlike the usual dragracer/ street racer has accident, while DRAG racing on street. I will try and get a link or scan the article.

Great article George.....So good to see a hometown Long Island boy doing so well.....hope he goes all the way and wins the championship !!!

Great news from Newsday. Thanks for the link.
We were at RiverHead Raceway last Sunday drag racing. Over 130 cars showed up to race, along with some politicians and local media. It was only 100 feet, but the've signed up over 220 cars to race by this their second event. John Montecalvo was there with his car. Another local nice group like the Nobile family are. We will not give up the fight for a track. It's there, I've been on it at Calverton and its so close to ready.
If any track owner around this country got 130 cars for a lil weekend day of brackets I'd bet they'd be happy. It was beautiful seeing over crowded staging lanes. broke out first round myself.
Next race July 24. Please come and help support our growing hungry movement.

Congrats to Vincent Nobile and his family. Bring the trophys home to Long Island.
