SSSSA Race Was A Hot One!

As far as weather was concerned, we had more sun than we needed! It was 116 degrees under my RV awning! Track temperature was 137 degrees! I have never seen it that hot before! Some of the higher powered cars found ithe starting line a bit tricky but most had a good handle on it. We wound up with 22 Stockers and Super Stockers for a hot combo race. Everyone had three qualifying runs and we also featured a U/SA shootout! We gave everyone a little extra time between rounds because of the heat. Then the timing system decided to have a glitch that could not be fixed so we wound up splitting the money between the remaining three racers Paul Forte, Mike Pearson and Rebel Kidd. Because of the malfunctions and the heat we awarded double points and cancelled the second race. Everyone was glad to call it a day. Next race will be in Bradenton FL. September 17 & 18, 2011.
