NHRA NATIONAL CLASS PERFORMER AWARD TIE-BREAKER METHODS If a tie exists (for the season ending National Class Performer Award Championship) at the conclusion of the Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, it shall be resolved as follows. If, after step one is followed a tie still remains, additional steps are to be followed until tie is broken. 1. Review full season of points earned. Driver with most class wins (out of 3 scored events) wins tie. 2. Review full season of scored events (scored events are 3 of first 5 events at which driver received points). Driver with most rounds won wins tie. 3. Review full season of points earned. Driver running furthest under the class index on a class winning run wins tie. 4. Review full season of points earned. Driver with most class wins (out maximum 5 possible events) wins tie. 5. Review full season of scored events. Driver with most “head to head” victories wins tie. 6. Calculate average qualifying positions from scored events. Qualifying position to be rounded to one decimal point – for example, a driver qualifying 8, 15, and 9 would have a 10.7 average. Driver with the lowest average qualifying position wins tie. 7. Calculate average qualifying elapsed times from scored events. Driver with the quickest average qualifying elapsed time wins tie (SS, Stock is furthest under their class index).

Right Tom, should have said tie-breakers will come into play. Thanks for posting them to clarify.

I'd say tie-breaker #2 will determine your winner (most rds won).
For example... Bryan Chaney won 4 rds at Indy, and Roy Hill, Mike Cotten, and Lloyd Wofford (and others) won 3 rds at Indy. One more class win for any of these guys could put them in a good position. By the way... what does it pay?

Why would Indy not count? That combo deal is what Chaney ran.

Indy does not count and only one Sportsnational can be used for the best three out of five races.
