Default My Super Stock Chevy II......(project)

Heres a rendering that Matt Levonas did for me of my paint scheme for my Chevy II. Bucky Hess gave me a good bit of input also. I am a HUGE fan of the Grump and wanna do this as a kind of tribute type car. Plus, I will get a good bit of input on the engine from Jake and the fellas at Jenkins Competition. I got my block from him at the Dutch so at least now I have a start. Wisecarver will do the chassis work. It should be a blast.

JC it looks great. Just a question did you notice the Wisecarver built 67 chevy II post car for sale on Racing Junk? It is in the Stock/Super Stock section. It currently is a bracket car with a stick in it but claims to be super stock legal. If it is you would be WAY ahead on your project. Just a thought.

Should be a fun ride! What 327 is that and what natural class is it in?

I saw the blue car that Wisecarver built, but its way outta my price range. I used to work for Wisecarver so hopefully I can do a lot of the welding myself at Gary's. Gary and Joann are like family to me.

I'm gonna run a 327 / 275 hp combo, exactly like Dan Jacobs is running. I wont be a threat to anyone, thats for sure, but I wanna just have fun and get it out there. I may be wrong but I think its a natural SS/G car but I wanna run F. My car is actually a 67' post car, but the drawing is of a 66'..............no biggie.

Sean, you have a nice hot rod. I was checking it out last sat in the lanes at the Dutch.

What's not to like about Your "Black Deuce"?
It's razor straight,
has a "to die for" mirror Black finish,
and best part, "Hook's Hard" & "Hauls the mail"

One of Many "Way-Cool" SS Chevy ll's on the Planet

The car looks great, JC. If anyone is interested in 1:18 diecast cars, I see that they're in the process of bringing out Grumpy's 2 different "66 Chevy IIs sometime this fall, plus the '73 Vega. This newer version of the red/white '66 is supposed to be a more accurate rendition than the one introduced years ago, since the manufacturing process is much better nowadays. You can check it out on www.supercar1.com
