Default Edelbrock smallblock Mopar heads

FYI.....The first run of new NHRA legal small block Mopar heads (60767 and 61767) from Edelbrock are going to come through with the wrong sized valve guides and therefore will need to have them replaced for them to be used in stock.....Edelbrock is putting 11/32 guides in both heads when the LA used 3/8 and the Magnum uses 8mm....this issue is being addressed and will be rectified in the next run (whenever that is, they were vague on production run schedules based on how soon they would need to make more).....

Word in the pits is you better hold off on buying them. They may soon be "unapproved"

Same deal with the early big block Chevy Alum replacement heads. They were all 11/32 new out of the box instead of the original 3/8. I did several sets and just had to resize the guides. No big problem.

Looks like the new heads aren't legal for the '68-'71 340's. They are for the '72 & '73 motors and all the 360's. Must have something to do with the above deck piston, are the new heads closed chamber?

Can't use them on 68cc 360 engines either!
