I always go to Walmart and buy a 26 or 56 Series Battery. they ar e about 20 Lbs/$47 Bucks.
and have a Nationwide Warrantee for 5 years. Buy two and mount one in back or keep it charged in trailer in case you make it to Sunday and get to Hot Lap. Be sure mount for Battery is easy to Remove and Replace in case it is needed whatever you chose to use. When are you coming to Vegas? With my attitude I can always use another Bodyguard or two! If you are looking for a lightweight. Odyssey.
The non-metal jacket are the lightest. This is where I bought mine several years ago. Best prices then. Make sure you order the terminals also, if you do buy one. http://www.batterymart.com/c-odyssey...FQvGKgodiHOXIA Sean

I dont know if John's recommendation is a dry cell or not, but I also have run the Odyssey pc925 for about 6 years. It can take several complete discharges and be fully recharged without degradation.
The military used to (may still) use them. I had one laying around that I left on the shelf and NEVER checked after 7 years. I put it in my golf cart since the wet cell died and it is still working since last October at Eddyville. It weighs about 22 lbs and can be mounted in any position. I put it on the trickle charger once in a while over the winter and it's always reliable...even on a Saturday night going 6 rounds back to back here locally. It turns over my 12:1 385 stroker like it is 9:1 compression. Clark |
