Altronics paying up their contingency money? They are the only one who have not paid me for my Bradenton Stock Eliminator win! Does anyone have a contact for them? Jim

Forget about getting that one. I have had 2 runner ups at the TOC race in Immokalee. They never paid on either race. They have a good product but not racer friendly on the contingency side. I would not buy anything else from them for this reason. When its time to upgrade my system I will go with someone like computech. I peeled the decals off of my car.
On another note thanks to the good companies out there that paid very quickly

I guess I should clarify my post, I'm waiting on two checks from two others not Altronics. Altronics did pay after I emailed and asked about my check.

I just called them mike. They said they haven't paid any IHRA contingencies this year because NHRA had a race last week!!! I swear, that's what he said! I looked t what you have to do to qualify for the contingency and it just is ridiculous. The device must be no more than three years old for IHRA and four years for NHRA. What?! So if it is four years old you throw it out and buy a new one. I registered the product but not for the program I guess. I have a PA2 and offered to give the serial number but that's not good enough I guess. I wonder why some sponsors would rather pay the sanctioning body than the racer? You are right Mike, they have a good product but they might as well not offer contingency. I will be removing the decals also. Jim

Dennis, I was paid by all the other contingency sponsors (5) within three weeks. Jeg's paid me within 10 days and sent several event winner's hats.

I thought the idea was to reward the racer who wins and uses their products. From the emails I have received you should count yourself very lucky to have been paid at all from them Dennis. Why would he tell me they haven't paid any contingency this year and you say you have been paid? Good product but poor racer support in my opinion. When I need to replace my PA2 I won't be buying an Altronics. Jim

I was able to "renew" my Altronics PerformAire contingency qualification for 2 years after the initial 3 year qualification from the purchase date. It costs quite a bit less than a new unit and may or may not include a software update. I'm not sure. I have had to remind them on a few occasions over the years, but always got paid. Their "Associate sponsor" status also may not pay at each race listed in the event categories. They seem to have an asterick (*) next to their name but don't recall what it means.

I know it's frustrating to have a perfectly working product but with a 3 year contingency life. But that's the way many companies have to do it in these economic times. Holley carbs has a 5 year limit with IHRA also. But you also can't always expect a company to pay for years and years on the same individual item. You pay $400+ for slicks, but they can wear out in a year or less and you have to buy another set. Nobody complains there. It's just the nature of some products as well as the abilities and marketing plans of some companies..

I'm thankful that we have companies that still do provide contingencies because many have fallen by the wayside. Then there is the abuse which is probably why we have to jump through some hoops because of a few bad apples.

Altronics weather Center with paging option/wind sensor= $2200.00

The problem I had was, we purchased the product in 2005, won an event the next weekend, but didnt send in/ sign up online for contingentcy in the amount of time before the win. ok, i get it.
When we called, they signed my husband up then.
2 weeks later I win, but this time, no money because we only have one pager. Because we are husband and wife, we are considered a "team" and must purchase an ADDITIONAl pager @ $250.00. Now, I just spent $2200 and really didnt know we were considered a "team". But those are only part of his rules.
I will not purchase anything more from this company.
