Default Proper wireing for alternator

Ok guys... have heard alot of different things... Some of the veteran's please chime in... Proper way to wire a one wire altenator, as well as 2 or 4 pole 'kill' switch and rating... Thanks!!!

i always wired mine direct to the + terminal of battery, gets a full charge and does not affect the kill switch. now that being said, my ignition is wired to the other side of the switch, no chance of run on. works for me

I'd highly recomend including a 3" long ,12 ga. fusible link at each end of the alternator wire ,as it is always energized.
A pinched or rubbed thru wire without the fusible link or any way of disconnect, could spell disaster.

X2. thats the way I did mine except I spliced in a 200 amp circuit breaker just before the battery.
