Head Gasket ?

The rules say .016 thickness for the head gasket, what would you recommend.
The engine guy gave me a Cometic C5245-040 I believe that is .040 thick. I just want to get the most out of my engine. It is a 350 chev 060 over.

Head gasket sets the final deck clearance, .040 would be about right if the piston is down .001 or 2 Jim Hanig
