Default Alternator help

Trying to wire an '87 Toyota alternator to the race car and I am stumped. Have one large terminal (bat.?) and at the rear of the alternator there are 3 plug connections, 2 vertical and 1 horizontal. Anyone have experience with this one? Thanks, Bob Michael.

I energize one of the three with a toggle switch
on dash and the big one to battery. I will look at which
one when I get home later in week if no one else
tells you.

Bob,

I believe this diagram may be what you are need for a Nippon Denso alternator.

Thanks, Larry and John. I'll hook it up tomorrow and try it. So I'll leave the no. 2 connection open. I even got a toyota wiring diagram and still couldn't get it!! (electronically challenged!) Bob M.

Bob, the # 2 is the S terminal..It's used to sense the load at battery..Not necessary for your application.
