It sounds like we are going to miss very good weather and a fun race.
The really good part of the weekend will be 4 out of the top 5 players in national points will be there. Correction - Patsy said Bo and Randi Lyn are in the Bahamas swimming with the dolphins! Jody is racing in Sonoma this weekend. Do you take a 1 second run or quicker to get to #1 on the sheet to get the first bye, or do you hang around the middle of the sheet and hope to shoot a wounded quail first round. Can some one play the ladder game and position themselves to run #1 qualifier, get the bye next round, and later get the bye into the finals? I love to watch a good checker game!!! Back to work for me I'm still trying to qualify for Indy, 30 entries so far and everyone is faster than us. On a side note only three or four carb cars in the 30 entries. Used to be the best hooking track, last time we were there nothing was hooking. We decided never to go back. It was dangerous not just inconvenient. Several wrecks.
Please let us know if they have improved. There was a situation with a farmer next door, but don't remember the particulars (CRS).

Prediction for earlier today was 79 - 79 - 80. 79 degrees, 79 % humidity, 80% chance of showers. Here in Freeland, 60 miles east/northeast, it started sprinkling about 4:30, it's raining now at 10 PM. I'll be leaving about 6:30 AM, hope it's stopped raining by morning.

Barometer is low - 28.85 and temps are in the low 70s this morning. A number of the first cars out spun. It starting sprinkling after 10 pair went down the track. After about 20 minutes qualifying continued. Car count looks weak across all eliminators.

Walked up to the starting line this morning, not much to work with. However, the track seems to be hooking great after the first ~10 stockers ran. My car left great, tons of big wheelies in SS (hope somebody has a picture of Jeremy Duncan's), the Wescotts both got down the track well. Brad and the rest of the guys on the starting line seem to be doing a damn good job!
On another note, the scales are about 40 lbs light compared to Columbus.
