Default Indy Stacking

So I guess they're holding to the stupid Pre-Event Stacking Schedule they instituted the beginning of the year. Saturday night and the front gate is locked unless someone is aware they're stacking trailers someplace else???

Johnny -- imagine you've figured this out already... but I think Gate 8 is at the NW corner of the facility (i.e., the first gate you would come to as you drive south of 136 on the west side of the track). This is based on my analysis of the facility map on the track website, which has no compass markings on it... guess they assume we all know which way the track sits...

BTW, please get all this stacking ***** sorted out by the time I arrive some time tomorrow morning...!

Sorry for trying to help.....sheesh! Turn left or west out of the main gate to the first light, Turn left at the light,go over the tracks and gate 8 is on the left. You will be facing south but by now there is a line in that direction also. This is the sportsmen side of the track.

Yeah that's Gate 8 on that side road which is County road 1000. I'm at the front gate off Crawfordsville rd across from Littons place. Three rigs here but that gate is locked which is the normal gate we go in at every year.

Sounds like a whole hell of a lot of fun guys .
I guess it's all worth it when you are finally in the lanes for your first shot.
Good luck to all racers!

Just a quick update on stacking. The gates opened to start stacking in the fields about an hour ago. There was about 60 rigs parked along the fence outside the track and are now stacked. I took pictures of the firsts in line. The fields are all mowed and more rigs are coming in as I type.

I will not continue this thread with anymore info unless someone needs info about stacking. I will wait until Larry and Patsy get here add to their the live from.

The weather, although getting warm is very nice.

One strange thing I did notice when I arrived last night, I saw a couple of spots along the fence were you (pre-stack), for a lack of a better term. They were saving spots along the fence on Wally Parks Blvd. I saw cones and tape, you have to be a serious racer to save a spot for the pre stacking.
