Wow! now that's a tough way to loose...in the Semi Final, you beat Anthony....and then your fuel does'nt check? at least that's what was reported on the web...It's not heads up, but dial-in...wonder what the difference was? Well, rules are rules...and the officials are not getting soft in the later rounds....and of course, like they say...if it's your day...it's your day...Anthony Wins! Congrats

No kidding it is a shame. How did it pass the other times it was checked? I was checked 3 times this weekend in Ennis so Jared had to have been checked at least 2-3 more times.

Just heard from Jared. When we towed up there from Houston the diesel generator in their motor home was not putting out enough to run their roof AC units for some reason they brought a portable gas generator for that. They had a jug of pump gas for it. He said he accidentally topped off the fuel cel with pump gas. In the excitement and rush he must have grabbed the wrong jug. Hate that for them. He was doing a great job.

Ok, I know ahead of time that this is a dumb question. My wife and I are sitting here wondering why can't pump gas pass? Race gas is going to make you go quicker so if you make a mistake and put pump gas in why isn't it approved? It won't give you a performance advantage. Again, I'm new to the fine lines and don't understand what the big deal would be. ???

NHRA has a list of fuels that are legal for Stock and Super Stock.
Pump gas isn't on that list. |

Rules are rules as AB said in his interview, 3.22 reg gas here in NC, and that RACE car had a awesome package, how does this happen?

And, when you tell them it is "C11" "C12", etc , it has to check between certain numbers at a given temp. If not it is illegal.
My pit vehicle and portable gen all run on C11. One less thing for an old man to mess up.

That is a bad/sad deal for the Swinehart camp, everything was falling into place so well round by round. I was hoping to see a 1st National event win for Jared, so close... ![]()
