Default Ladder bar question

What is the best method to locate the housing in a ladder bar car? Mine has a panhard bar from right frame rail to the top of the housing. Anything to gain from switching to a diagonal link or a wishbone?

Default Re: Ladder bar question

Jim... Does the car see any street use? A short panhard bar may have a tendency to move the body laterally in an arc on separation. Generally effective panhard bars are long and high as possible, to control this. The most common and simplest lateral limiter for a ladder bar application, would be a diagonal link. Diagonal link rod ends should be part of a seasonal inspection because of the strain they endure on there return road turns (just something to keep in mind). Hope this helps...MB.
