I am planning to switch from stamped to roller rockers on my 98 350 LT1 stocker.
What is the rocker of choice and what other changes are required? Also, Since the motor was originally built (Woodro) around 6-7 years ago, Any advances in camshaft technology I should be considering? The car is a stick, BTW. Thanks and Merry Christmas to all! John |

Stockers ratio is 1.47, RR are 1.5 and you can calculate from there. Meaning you will need a new Cam for the RR. Crane makes the GM Replacement 1.6RR but they also have the 1.5RR. D |

Comp Cams has the best roller rocker for your car, they make a TRUE 1.5:1 Ultra Pro Magnum rocker specifically for Stock Eliminator, it is a special piece that Tim Cole developed for us. Yes, if your cam is 6-7 years old, or older, Tim and Billy probably have a new set of lobes for your application. There are also some new true race hydraulic roller lifters that are lighter, have less travel, run at near zero preload, and are capable of higher RPM while remaining stable and not floating.

Well, you can reach Tim Cole after the first of the year. Just call the regular line and ask for him. Billy Godbold rarely talks on the phone, he's a lobe designer, he actually designs the cam lobes and deals with things like Spin-Tron testing, Tim runs the competition sales/support department.

John
You have a PM with Tim's direct line @ Comp You do need a cam and lifters as well as rockers. Some stiff pushrods might help, too.
