Kenny Dondero passes

Just learned of Ken Dondero's passing this weekend. Ken was a special person in a lot of ways, who took me in like a nephew when I was young, and had the patience of a saint like no other racer at the time. If it weren't for him I'd have never had the opportunity to meet so many of the sports legends back in the day. I have more stories to tell about the times being around him, getting in his way & how he would answer my never ending questions, even when he was getting ready to make a pass & under pressure to perform. I'll never be able to thank you enough for all the experiences you provided for a skinny little kid with big dreams. RIP Ken.

As I was scanning these older Dragsters I ran acroos stories about Kenny, Ruth & I meet him & became friends. He would come over & talk to us If we didn't look for him. What a great guy.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Dondero`s passing
Those old Pro Stockers bring back great memories.
Kenny Voight told me to stretch out a tape measure and mark off 80 inches. Look at your age, and see where your at.
It puts things in perspective when you reach 55 and look at whats left.
We are only here for a visit (John 3:16).

At Milan Dragway , Ruth & I were track reporters for Milan for National Dragster & Drag News.Think this is 73 when we meet Don.
