Is it true that the later '68 Camaro was available w/ the 4bbl 350/255 HP engine?
If so that would make the combo legal for Stock & SS in a 68 Camaro. I heard this today from a guy who used to work at a Chevy dealer in the late 60's in Rhode Island -

I Never saw one in a street car and it has never been listed in the guide. I raced both a
'68 Chevy II and a '69 Chevy II as well as a '69 Camaro. 350/295 in the 68 or a 327 350/255 in both '69 Cars

In this day and age, I wouldn't be surprised if somebody convinced NHRA that Baldwin-Motion(and Yenko) is/was a manufacturer and gets all of their cars approved for Stock! At least they had real titles and could be street driven.

Ya know, there IS one early Camaro that could almost be a "maybe they built some" combo and that is a 67 with a 327/350 combo. The early press releases and service literature listed the 327/350 as being available and there are engine codes reserved for such a car. Stick only but it would be cool!
