I was looking at connecting rod choices for a super stock 289 Ford today. Are the listed approved aftermarket rods the only ones you can use? Or are billet rods O.K.? The rule book doesn't say you can't but that doesn't mean you can either.Would they need to be submitted for approval?

I did a web search on the numbers listed for the Crower replacement rods and came up with the ones in this link:
http://ww.flatlanderracing.com/crowerstbill-ford.html They seem to be the legal ones but $1300? I'm no expert but I think the numbers listed before the examples in the Product guide are more important. Dale
