New Series - Western New York Super Rod Association

The Western New York Super Rod Association (WNYSRA) was founded in 2014 by Phil Harnden and Jason Oldfield, drag racers with a combined experience of over 60 years, to fill a void for sportsman drag racers in the area. Specifically, our mission is to provide an outlet for some of the best heads-up, pro-tree competitors in western New York, southern Ontario, and northwestern Pennsylvania to compete in the one of the longest running sportsman drag racing categories, IHRA's Super Rod or NHRA's Super Gas. In addition to serving the racers, it is also our goal to provide our sponsors with unprecedented marketing value for their money through exposure at the track, in printed media, and on-line.

In 2014, the WNYSRA is currently slated to run 8 total events; 6 at Empire Dragway just outside of Rochester, NY, and 2 at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario, Canada. Our full schedule can be seen below:

- May 31 - Empire Dragway
- June 28 - Empire Dragway
- July 12 - Empire Dragway
- July 26 & 27 - Toronto Motorsports Park (NHRA Provincial Championships)
- August 16 - Empire Dragway
- September 6 - Empire Dragway
- October 11 - Empire Dragway

If you would like to be notified when our permanent website is up and running, please visit http://www.wnysra.com and click on the "Get Notified" button, and we will send you an e-mail as soon as the "real" website is live (as a note, we will not share or sell your e-mail addresses, as they will be used ONLY to keep people interested in our series up to date of recent announcements and happenings.)

We have created our own forum here on ClassRacer, and can be found under the ".90 Heads Up Class Associations" section (you can follow this link directly to the forum - http://classracer.com/classforum/forumdisplay.php?f=59). All future announcements regarding our events will be posted in that forum (this is an introductory message only so that you all know we exist!)
