Anyone know what size slick you can comfortably fit under a stock 67 Fairlane Wagon wheel well?
Thanks, Mike |

I will let Chris Kilraine know about this thread, he has an H/SA 390 '67 from western PA.

Don't know an exact size but you can but a much larger tire under the wagon than under a HT or Sedan. The reason is the Wagons were built with a 113" wheelbase compared to 116" for the HT and Sedans, and they were built on a Falcon platform and not a Fairlane. I was amazed at how much tire clearance I had on my Wagon compared to the Sedan and HT cars.

RJ would know for sure, but I would think a 9 inch tire would be plenty......after all, stockers are going in the 8's with 9 inch tires, and they are not station wagons with all the weight on the rear...my 2 cents

I had a 68 Fairlane wagon with a CJ back in the 70's and I ran a 12" Slick. Wish I still had it.
